The symptoms of the coronary microvascular disease are mild in the early-stage like chest discomfort or shortness of breath associated with physical activities. The symptoms of a heart attack include;

Risk factors for developing the coronary microvascular disease are;

Due to the above-mentioned causes damage occur in the tiny coronary blood vessels. Plaque buildup in the wall of coronary arteries also contributes to coronary microvascular disease. Plaque is made up of cholesterol deposits. Plaque buildup causes narrowing of coronary arteries (atherosclerosis) and leads to the blockage of blood supply to the heart muscle.

The patient needs to be seated in a meditative posture with the head and spine erect, with the body relaxed. The patient has to close his one nostril (e.g. left nostril if using the right hand and vice versa) with the thumb and exhale completely through the other nostril. Again, he will have to breathe in deeply through the other nostril while the opposite nostril is still closed with the thumb.
