PATHOPHYSIOLOGY OF CONTACT DERMATITIS
Due to the above-mentioned causes along with skin barrier dysfunction, touching irritants produce symptoms of skin allergy. This is a T cell-mediated immune response. There is inflammation of the skin that occurs along with other symptoms. Emotional stress is also contributed to the aggravation of symptoms.

- According to Ayurveda, twakrogas are known by the general term Kushta. Vicharchika is one of the types of Kshudra Kushta. General medicines used for the treatment of skin diseases (kushta) are effective in contact dermatitis.

The patient needs to be seated in a meditative posture with the head and spine erect, and the body relaxed. The patient has to close one nostril (e.g. left nostril if using the right hand and vice versa) with the thumb and exhale completely through the other nostril. Again, he will have to breathe in deeply through the other nostril while the opposite nostril is still closed with the thumb.
